The Feeding 9 Billion Challenge is an exciting 24-hour event taking place in universities across Canada. It challenges undergraduate students to work in teams to develop innovative projects fostering a more sustainable food system

Following their participation in the Feeding 9 Billion Challenge, students get the opportunity to  enroll in the University of Guelph’s innovative new course, ICON.

ICON breaks out of the mold of traditional undergraduate coursework. It provides a supportive space for innovation and entrepreneurship, equips students with critical skills in knowledge-translation and communication, and mandates that students work with others from various disciplines. Together, these three aspects help ensure students develop robust and actionable projects that can really affect change
